Tuition & Financial Aid

State-funded Tuition Assistance

On February 12, 2025, TN Governor Bill Lee signed the landmark legislation, the Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarship Act to establish Tennessee’s universal school choice program into law. This scholarship allows students who are residents of Tennessee and are entitled to attend a public school in grades K-12 to use state funds toward education expenses at registered Category I, II, or III non-public schools located in Tennessee. For the 2025-2026 school year, there were 20,000 scholarships awarded, and 10,000 of these were available regardless of the eligible student’s income.

EFS 2026-207 Update:

Franklin Christian Academy continues to participate in the State of Tennessee’s Education Freedom Scholarship (EFS) program. For the 2026-27 school year, families may apply for an annual scholarship anticipated to be $7,295 per student, pending final state approval.

To be eligible for internal financial aid through FCA, families are now required to provide proof of application for the TN Education Freedom Scholarship. Please note that priority for financial assistance will be given to those who have applied for the EFS program.

Application Window:

  • Opens: January 13, 2026

  • Closes: January 30, 2026

Because the EFS window is brief and state funds are limited, we encourage families to apply as soon as the portal opens. For resources and the application portal, please visit https://www.tn.gov/education/efs.html.

School-funded Tuition Financial Assistance

As the state’s scholarship program does not cover the full cost of tuition, Franklin Christian Academy proudly provides more than $700,000 in financial assistance to qualifying families each year. When you visit, we’ll explain to you how to apply. Our goal is that money will not stand in the way of enrollment for qualified families.

Franklin Christian Academy does not discriminate based on age, race, gender, religion, or national origin in the administration of its educational programs, admission policies, or financial aid.

An Accessible Christian Education

At Franklin Christian Academy, we believe that a Christ-centered education is one of the most meaningful and lasting investments a family can make in their child’s future. While tuition is an important part of making that education possible, our goal is to ensure that finances are never the deciding factor in pursuing God’s best for your child. We are committed to making an excellent Christian education accessible to as many families as possible through our generous, needs-based scholarship program available during the application process. To ensure fairness, integrity, and confidentiality, we partner with a trusted third-party organization to review each family’s financial situation. At FCA, we strive to support families in making this invaluable investment.
