3-Year Strategic Plan

A three year plan 2008-2011

Goal # 1

Achieve School Accreditation

  • Get and maintain SACS and or ACSI accreditation
  •  Recruit volunteers to serve on accreditation committees
  •  Ensure that foundational documents are consistently being applied as a coordinating device throughout all aspects of the school
  •  Financial resources are available to fulfill the mission and programs
  •  All staff and faculty are provided with the professional development and training needed to establish a professional and spiritual quality for the school
  • The instructional program promotes the development of a Christian world view in all the students and prepares them for the next phase of God’s will for their lives
  • The school library/media center is a major learning laboratory
  • Technology resources are adequate in scope, quantity and quality to support the total educational program of the school
  • The site, buildings and grounds are a testimony about stewardship to God, who has provided it all
  • Develop instructional technology plan

Goal #2
Capital Campaign / Annual Giving / Fund Raising

  • Begin quiet phase of capital campaign-meeting with FCA families
  • Begin exploring financing options - Banks, Tax Exempt Bond, Other
  • Complete quiet phase meetings with 25 FCA families and determine potential funding
  • Develop an Annual Fund and attain $10,000 first year
  • FCA - Goal to raise $5 Million for Phase I
  • Identify a grant writer to research grants FCA would be eligible for and apply for them
  • Produce Golf Tournament – Goal to raise $20,000
  • Produce Coffee House – Goal to raise $10,000
  • Large event with major speaker to raise capital campaign funds (Possible Mike Huckabee)Solicit/raise funds from churches and individuals to sponsor scholarships for particular students or “support” for teacher(s)
  •  Finalize financing instrument - Fund Project

 

Goal #3
Land Acquisition / Building Design and Construction

  • Begin Design Phase of Master Plan for LEED Certified “Green” School
  • Sign Purchase Agreement Contract with Franklin Community Church
  • Present Concept Bubble Master Plan to City
  • First Reading Approval From City for Rezoning
  • Second Reading Approval From City for Rezoning
  • Closing on Purchase Agreement Contract w/ FCC
  • Third Reading Approval From City for Rezoning
  • Final Approval From City for Rezoning
  • Final Approval on General Contractor for Phase I
  • Budget Complete on Phase I
  • Complete Building Permits & Break Ground on Phase I

Goal #4
School Advancement / Improvement Plan Advancement/Curriculum/Programs

  • Participate in ACSI competitions
  • Curriculum harmonization with interactive approach and an emphasis on public speaking
  • Emphasis of biblical world view in each subject and training of teachers as primary implementers
  • Customized learning lab for identified LD students
  • Current facility improvement: painting, partitions, private work and study places, aesthetically pleasing
  • Development of library
  • Recruit and retain 25 new families with enrollment goal of 90 first year, 120 second year and 150 third year
  • Identify and pursue students from low income, minorities and inner city of Franklin
  • Rework and update marketing packet, brochure and website
  • Host and promote two Open Houses
  • Better communication to and education of parents to FCA vision, mission and goals
  • Pursue families at New Hope, Eagles Nest and New Song
